Dot FarrellDorothy Farrell, Dot, is one of the founders of the New York-based Red Door House to Home real estate development company. She participates in the day to day operations and brings a wealth of experience and empathy to your real estate journey; she lives in Long Island, is a homeowner herself, and her experiences as a real estate agent and rehab property manager make her your ideal partner in finding the perfect home.

Real Estate Agent

Dorothy is a licensed real estate agent, she specializes in residential sales, residential listings, multi-family properties, and rentals. She is involved in all aspects of the sales and acquisition of properties in our Long Island office. She is a NYS notary and a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

REHAB Property Manager

Dorothy participates in the New York residential property rehabilitation projects. She values the properties and negotiates when both buying and selling. Dot communicates with the management companies, landscape, and hardscape contractors.  She and Melissa Lane work directly with contractors, plumbers, electricians, roofers, HVAC, drywallers, and painters. Dot is everywhere; on demolition sites, at inspections, staging, and meeting with contractors.

Dot has experience as a licensed New York State apprentice real estate appraiser. And she knows what it takes to run her own business, she is the founder and owner of Adopt A Daughter, a cleaning company based in Long Island, New York. She was also a Medicaid Advocate for 26 years and was responsible for completing and submitting Medicaid applications for NYC hospitals-successfully intervening on clients behalf with various New York State agencies.

Community Involvement:

  • Executive board member of my local beach association having previously been the treasurer for 10 years
  • On the advocacy board of Specialized Autism Support & Information, SASI – an organization based on long island which promotes support, education, and community involvement for children with autism and their families. She also sits on the Blue Gala committee which organizes SASI’s largest yearly fundraiser
  • An active member of the Rocky Point Sound Beach Chamber of Commerce, RPSB.

Dorothy lives and works in Sound Beach, Long Island, New York.
